2023 IFC-Milken Institute Alumni Retreat: Meeting of the Next Generation of Global Financial Leaders
Summary
The 2023 alumni retreat for the IFC-Milken Institute Capital Markets Program is taking place on Jan 30 – Feb 1, 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa.
Drawing from eight cohorts of alumni, the Meeting of the Next Generation of Global Financial Leaders gathers over 60 rising policymakers from 30 countries and eight cohorts of the program.
The retreat will provide a unique space for joint problem-solving, cross-country learning, and practical discussions among these next generation leaders regarding the transformative role they can play in deepening financial markets, strengthening governance, and accelerating sustainable growth and economic prosperity around the world.
This invite-only event comes at a critical time as developing and emerging markets face global macroeconomic headwinds, navigate economic and financial recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, and look to tackle looming challenges such as the climate crisis. At the same time, there are exciting innovations and opportunities to tap into, from financial technology that can modernize capital markets and enhance financial inclusion, to progress in the fields of green and sustainable finance, impact investing and ESG. We look forward to impactful and substantive discussions.
