As we head into the summer, we are delighted to congratulate our most recent graduates: the Capital Markets Class of 2019! Our 22 Fellows completed the training program at the end of April, with hands-on workshops in leadership and management run by The Rivington Group followed by a formal graduation ceremony at the IFC. This concluded four months of hard work at internships across the U.S., during which the class had a few opportunities to touch base – including with a packed trip to New York City in mid-February where they visited with Wall Street firms, and mid-March webinars in which they compared internship experiences.

Directly after graduation, earlier this month several alumni from current and past cohorts participated in the 2019 Milken Institute Global Conference, where they pitched innovative financial policy solutions to a room of investors, philanthropists, development partners, regulators and policy experts. We wish our Class of 2019 all the best as they return to their desks in their home countries – and looking ahead, we are also excited to meet our Class of 2020 when they arrive in Washington DC at the end of the summer!
Valedictorian Speech by Yemisi Okuneye
The class valedictorian, Yemisi Okuneye from the Nigeria Securities and Exchange Commission who completed the program with the highest Grade Point Average, wished her classmates all the best with an entertaining and motivating speech.
Pitching policy solutions at the Milken Institute Global Conference
